Angela Harding

Angela Harding is a British artist and printmaker best known for her linocuts depicting birds, animals, and rural landscapes. Her work is characterised by a strong sense of pattern, rich colour, and a close observation of the natural world, often focusing on the changing seasons and the relationship between wildlife and place. She studied at Nottingham Trent University and has developed a distinctive practice rooted in relief printmaking. Harding often combines linocut with silkscreen printing, layering processes to achieve depth of colour and texture while maintaining the clarity of her graphic imagery. Her compositions balance decorative structure with an attentiveness to atmosphere, capturing both the stillness and movement of the landscape. Alongside her studio practice, Harding has illustrated numerous books and collaborated on publishing projects, bringing her work to a broad audience. She has also worked in lithography, including collaborations at the Curwen Studio, where her imagery was translated into a different print process while retaining its characteristic sense of pattern and design. Harding’s work has been widely exhibited, and she is a member of the Royal Society of Painter-Printmakers.
