Jonny Hannah

Jonny Hannah is a British artist, illustrator, and printmaker known for his distinctive graphic style, combining bold line, flat colour, and a playful, narrative approach. His work often draws on popular culture, music, literature, and everyday life, creating images that are both nostalgic and contemporary in tone. He studied at Liverpool Art School and the Royal College of Art, where he developed a strong interest in illustration and print. Hannah has worked widely across publishing, poster design, and commercial commissions, as well as producing a significant body of prints and artist-led projects. His work frequently references mid-20th-century design and British print traditions, while maintaining a personal visual language characterised by humour, storytelling, and carefully structured compositions. Alongside illustration, he has worked in printmaking, including lithography, exploring the relationship between drawn image and printed surface. Hannah has exhibited widely in the UK and internationally, and his work is held in public collections including the Victoria and Albert Museum.
