Foundation Course in Fine Art Printmaking
1 day a week for 10 weeks
Tuesday 21 January to 31 March (excluding 18 February) 2020 OR Tuesday 8 September to 17 November 2020 (excluding 27 October) 2020
10am to 4pm

This is an ideal way to experience the breadth of printmaking. Each day is a standalone course where you will be taught the basics of the technique and explore the unique character and potential of the differing processes. You will be taught how to use tools for each technique, how to plan a simple print, apply inks, use the presses and how you could print at home. The two Personal Choice days are a chance to continue exploring the techniques already taught and to develop your ideas with the support and guidance of the tutor.

• Week 2 - Drypoint Etching.
• Week 3 – Collagraphs.
• Week 4 – Monoprinting.
• Week 5 - Personal Choice day.
• Week 6 – Screen printing.
• Week 7 - Gelli Plate.
• Week 8 – Cyanotype.
• Week 9 – Polyester Plate Lithography.
• Week 10 - Personal Choice day
Experience level
Beginners and/or those wishing to refresh their skills.

Full payment of the course fee is required when booking a place. A reserved place is not secure until full payment has been received.
If for any reason you are unable to attend, we will refund monies paid minus a £20 admin fee, as long as you cancel your place more than 1 month before the course start date.
Course transfers are at the discretion of Curwen Print Study Centre. Curwen Print Study Centre reserves the right to cancel courses – a full refund will be made in these circumstances.
For CPSC Certificate course
Payment for Term 1 is required when booking a place. A reserved place is not secure until this payment has been received. Payments for Terms 2 & 3 will be due at the end of the previous term. Payments for Terms 2 & 3 will be due before the first day of each term.
If for any reason prior to the commencement of the course you are unable to attend, we will refund monies paid minus a £20.00 admin fee, as long as you cancel your place more than 1 month before the course start date. Once you start the course on Term 1 you have committed to all 3 terms. Course transfers are at the discretion of Curwen Print Study Centre.
Curwen Print Study Centre reserves the right to cancel courses – a full refund will be made in these circumstances.
